A month or so ago I organized a trip with IZEA and SeaWorld to do a hard hat tour of Manta, the new experience coming to SeaWorld May 22nd. Last weekend they invited Alex and I to come back and check their progress and things have sure come a long way. The trains are now installed, there is water around the base of the building and the aquarium is almost built out. Alex and I were able to see way more on this trip and I am more excited than ever to ride Manta.

Despite the lack of details that have currently been released by SeaWorld about their 2009 flying coaster, Manta, we've heard that the coaster will almost definitely span the entire length of the proposed site. Footers have been spotted on both the furthest possible right and left hand sides of the construction site, so this can surely only be a good thing. We'll just have to wait and see once more details are released…
Actually, it is a very good representation of hat Manta looks like. I live in Orlando and I go to SeaWorld at least once every month so I do know what the track layout is really like. Go to my page and type Sky Tower at SeaWorld Orlando 2009 and you'll get a great aerial view of Manta from inside the Sky Tower capsule as it ascends and descends the tower.

I can't wait to bring my son on this ride, it looks awesome. We get SeaWorld annual passes every year and now we have Aquatica passes too. Upgrades like Aquatica and this ride will keep us annual pass holders!!! Whoever came up with this idea should be commended!!

That place is AMAZING!!!!!!! Its my favorite place in the whole wide world! The dolphins are the best part! Blue Horizons is the best show and it is worth the price!!!

Sounds pretty awesome to me! I'm not expecting a terribly intense ride, but the overall experience sounds pretty cool, and the ride is actually bigger than I expected. I will definitely have to find myself in Orlando next year. I hope they release a full layout sometime.
